Who, in their multitudes, play in the sun and learn always in the sun Who have no sophistication and therefore no folly Who when they feel so inclined will rage, howl, bawl But are mostly quite content with the complexities of colour, movement the intricacies of climbing and sliding and catching and throwing; their toys once thrown they easily forgive, forget and hope most reasonably, expect, their mistakes made, to have no grudge remembered against their pure impetuous spontaneity. But what lesson can they teach to the responsible cautious We whose fears are justifiable as anything is justifiable to the rational mature I whose love is tempered whose life is tainted? |
